What Information is Collected
UN Environment Programme – Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI) requests data from people working for UNEP-FI member and supporting institutions as well as individuals who register for events, training, and document downloads.
This data consists of names, addresses, email addresses, company positions, and other general information necessary for UNEP-FI to perform its function.
How the Information is Used
The data collected is used to allow the Secretariat to
- communicate information on UNEP-FI activities, events, publications, and news,
- manage memberships and registrations for events and training courses,
- monitor downloads of certain materials and publications, and
- calculate statistics of participation in UNEP-FI activities.
Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
UNEP-FI does not share any person’s personal information with any third-party individuals or organisations external to UNEP-FI. An exception would be made, however, in the event of law enforcement supported by the relevant warrants.
Changing or Removing Information
Personal information stored by UNEP-FI is essentially administrative. On request, an individual’s information can be changed or removed by contacting info@unepfi.org.
Agreement to the Storage of Personal Information
Submission of information on the UNEP-FI website online or by any other electronic communication implies agreement to this privacy policy.
