NYCERS and Sustainability
NYCERS has recognized a fiduciary duty to mitigate the systemic and company-specific risks that climate change poses to its portfolio and has committed to taking ambitious steps to achieve net zero emissions by 2040 by reducing portfolio emissions, increasing climate solutions investments, and engaging with asset managers and portfolio companies to align their businesses with climate goals that will prudently address climate risks and maximize opportunities to benefit current and future New York City pensioners.
