Join the Net-Zero Banking Alliance online on October 31st for an event on Mortgage Portfolio Standards, co-organised with Climate Strategy and IIGCC.
The landscape of mortgage lending is evolving rapidly, with sustainability and regulatory compliance now more intertwined than ever. The revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), adopted in April 2024, introduces Mortgage Portfolio Standards (MPS) as a voluntary mechanism for banks to measure and drive the decarbonisation of their mortgage portfolios. MPS also has international appeal beyond Europe, as global regulators assess transition planning progress for mortgage portfolios.
In this webinar, UNEP FI members can hear directly from leading experts about the state of play of green finance in real estate, and operational insights on how MPS can help them to strategically manage the transition to greener real estate assets while aligning with current and forthcoming EU climate requirements.
