Senior Advisor Responsible Finance

Robin Edme is Senior Advisor Responsible Finance to the Commissioner General’s office in charge of sustainable development (French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and energy). He is particularly in charge of leading the joint initiative, between the French Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Ecology, “Financing the ecological transition” which held its first seminar last July. He is today a recognized European expert for his capacity to tackle complex and “hot” CSR and SRI issues, in particular in the banking and financial sector; he developed strong advocacy and lobbying expertise at national and& European level. He also currently lectures on advanced CSR & SRI issues for several universities and major European actors of the financial industry. He is a Member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the GRI, board member of European Partners for the Environment and member of Qualified Personalities College of the French Institute of Directors (IFA); he was also Member of the Task Force “Rethinking Asset Management” and “Supporting Long-term Investing and Retirement Savings”, both chaired by CEPS/ECMI. Prior to this position, he was the founding Partner of Maqassar, a pioneer CSR & SRI Executive management consulting company. He is one of the founders of the French Social Investment Forum and Eurosif for which he served as President respectively for 7 and 5 years.
