Industry-led and UN-convened, the Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) is a group of leading global banks committed to financing ambitious climate action to transition the real economy to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. NZBA membership is open to all banks globally and already includes many of the world’s largest commercial banks, having more than tripled in number since the Alliance launched in April 2021 to reach over 130 banks. NZBA’s framework, guidance, and peer learning opportunities support its members to design, set, and achieve credible science-based net zero targets for 2030 or sooner to align with an ambition to limit global warming to 1.5 °C. These member banks are leading an economic transition that will deliver value for their investors, clients, and customers.
