Over the course of Mr. Azar’s tenure, the ASE witnessed several milestones, these include: joining the membership of the WFE, updating the, launching the Internet Trading service, in addition to several others.
Mr. Azar served as a director of several departments at the Amman Financial Market (AFM) subsequently Jordan Securities Commission (JSC). Mr. Azar was seconded to Muscat Securities Market, Muscat – Oman right after the launching of the exchange in 1989.
Mr. Azar represented the ASE in many conferences and workshops related to the financial markets industry. In addition he currently represents the ASE in the WFE Working Committee, and in the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS). Mr. Azar was the Vice-President of the Federation from 2010-2012, and the Chairman of the Working Committee from 2006 – 2010. In addition, the ASE was one of the founders of the FEAS in 1995.
Mr. Azar received his undergraduate degree in Financial Institutions Management from the University of Houston, Texas. U.S.A.
